If you aren’t afraid of it, you should be. According to Malwarebytes, 40% of companies have suffered ransomware attacks in the last year alone.
And this is actually just large companies – that have more sophisticated defenses in place already! Other studies show that small and medium businesses are much more vulnerable, and are being targeted heavily.
What can you do? Of course, keep your anti-malware current. But you should also be employing strong Operational Cybersecurity measures, such as you can apply with Third Wall plugin for LabTech, to shut down common entry points for ransomware. Don’t let them in – if you can. And there are clearly ways to reduce that, as you’ll see in Third Wall.
But even if you can’t stop all attacks, Third Wall has tools for you to mitigate the damage. In our upcoming Version2, due out in early October, we will have an “auto-detect” mechanism that will see most ransomware as it is happening, and will give you options for automatic actions to prevent damage. This will include automatically isolating the infected computer, killing VSS, running an antivirus scan, and / or shutting down the computer.
You can wait – and you and your clients will get hit – or you can act now with Third Wall. If you have LabTech, you need Third Wall, period. Your clients are relying on you, and your reputation is at stake.
